President's Message...
Happy New Year!!!
Happy new year to all. 2020 looks to be filled with challenges along with incredible opportunities, and the GCC looks forward to helping you with both!
In less than two weeks, from January 23-26, many of our members and board members will be jump starting the year speaking at Dynamic Essentials. At least twelve members will be on the speaker lineup and of course many more will be in attendance. GCC will also have a sponsorship booth where you can sign up to become a member. Dr. Sid Williams, who founded the GCC, also founded DE in 1964 which eventually was responsible for getting Life University started. If you have not attended DE in the past, or not in a while, please consider joining us at this life and practice changing event at our new location, closer to Life U, at the Atlanta Marriott Northwest off of Windy Hill Rd. That same weekend Life Vision Raw will be holding their conference at Life U.
At our annual convention in November, I was re-elected as President and am pleased to begin serving another two year term. Thank you for your continued trust and support. I am proud to run this great organization with the help of an amazing team. First, our Executive Director, Katrine Frazier. She is a rock for us. And then our board. Here is a link to our team of phenomenal chiropractors who work hard everyday for our profession.
In bigger news, the GCC is now offering online CE credits. Look for more information coming your way as we add more classes so you can get the same great course content of our live events also in an online format. Click here to check out our first course offering.
My wife, Rachel, and I would also like to thank all our members who came out to the GCC Annual Holiday Party at our loft in Rome. It was a great time for sure. Looking forward to more social time in 2020 as well.
   
This past weekend a group of us went down to the annual Wild Hog Supper which is held every year the day before the legislative session begins. We got to speak to Governor Kemp, who is a longtime friend of the GCC since his days as Secretary of State. We were also able to get together with some important Senators and Representatives that can help advance our legislative agenda in Georgia. We made some significant campaign finance contributions through our PAC as well. Please consider donating one time or even better, a monthly amount to this cause.

We are so excited to have gotten this started in memory of our dear friend and fellow board member, Dr Tim. See the article later in this newsletter for more information and how to contribute.

What is the GCC Tim Langley Memorial Chiropractic Scholarship? It is a D.C. student scholarship that is awarded at least one time per year to an exceptional student who exhibits many of the qualities that Dr. Tim Langley thought to be important for all students to possess. Those qualities include, but are not limited to:
-Active participation in organizations such as the GCC (or equivalent state association), Dynamic Essentials, the ICA, and other organizations that support and protect the principles of ChiropracTIC!
-A dedication and desire to serve their future communities through pure, unadulterated principled Chiropractic care.
-A dedication to learning, in great detail, the principles of chiropractic.
-A strong ability to communicate chiropractic through a simple and easily understood message.
 Why should I give toward the scholarship fund? Dr Tim was our colleague, long time GCC member, recent Board Member and Legislative Chairperson, and our Chiropractic Brother. He was always a willing mentor to any chiropractic student who came his way; taking them under his wing, guiding and teaching them in the ways of Dr. Sid Williams and leading them on the path of principled chiropractic. In his honor and with his family's blessing, the Georgia Council of Chiropractic established the GCC Tim Langley Memorial Chiropractic Scholarship Fund. We commit to using this scholarship to continue helping students in a manner that would make Dr Tim proud. All funds donated will go to chiropractic student scholarships. Please give as much as your heart leads you to give; our overall goal of $25,000 will establish the fund in perpetuity allowing Dr Tim's legacy to impact many generations of future chiropractors.
